How do I apply discipline in everyday life?

I have somediscipline problems in everyday life like I can't discipline my self enough to stop yelling at the younger ones or clean up or do school or some other stuff I can't think of right now. And how I can apply it to my everyday life is to control my self in yoga or meditate to control my anger.
